Now building in the UK, Ireland & the Netherlands
Pensions, benefits, health, technology, family. The practical side of getting older, written in plain English by people who did the homework. Free guides today. Personal assistance and a members' club on the way.
What Una is
We're building Una in three parts. The first is already here, and early members shape the other two.
Clear, carefully researched guides on pensions and benefits, health, everyday technology, home life, and family, specific to the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands. No jargon, no fearmongering, no ten-adverts-per-page.
Sometimes you don't want a guide, you want a person. Assistance will pair you with real humans who can help with forms, appointments, technology headaches, and the errands that pile up.
A members' community for people who want more from these decades: meetups, shared interests, and honest conversation with people at the same stage of life. Not a forum full of strangers; a club with a door.
From the guides
Every guide is free, checked against official sources, and written to be read once and actually used.

How Una works
Everything is free and open. No account, no paywall. Start with whatever's on your mind this week.
Leave your email and we'll send you the best new guides, and nothing else. You can leave in one click, any time.
Early members get first access to Assistance and the Club, and a real say in how we build them.
Everything about getting older seems to be written for someone else: your doctor, your bank, your children. It's either clinical, or patronising, or trying to sell you a stairlift.
I started Una because the people I love deserved better information than I could find for them: what a benefit is actually worth, which phone setting stops the scam calls, how to talk about the things families put off talking about.
So that's what we're building. Guides first, because trust is earned in writing. Then real human assistance, and a proper club, because the practical stuff is only ever half of it.

Our promises
Your email is used for one thing: sending you Una. We never sell it, share it, or bury choices in settings.
Guides are researched against official sources in the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands, and dated so you know they're current.
We write for intelligent adults. Plain English isn't dumbed down. It's the hardest kind of writing, and you deserve it.
Una is run by people who answer their email. Questions, corrections, requests: write to us and a human replies.
Early access
